- Nearly everyday I learn something new. Love life, love learning. B-)
When using the Facebook feed I have noticed on fresh downloads of the App, the Atom option doesn't work on all devices. To make sure of reliability and performance, I suggest we all stick with my original instructions concerning RRS feeds.

It was worth a try and I'm sure Atom is a better option for Blog Feeds; but not for facebook. Thanks for the info @MrApp. I'm positive it will come in handy with other applications. Keep bringing those ideas.
Through experimenting, I've found out that the Facebook RSS Feed I've made will NOT work in the Apps News Feed if you changed the Age restrictions to any setting other than Anyone 13+ in the Manage Permissions Section of Facebook Edit Page.
Something to keep in mind for all you insightful App.Cats :-h

Thanks for the updates, have you managed to get the Atom working across all platforms now or you still getting problems, if not what devices are you not seeing the feeds using the Atom.
When I added the atom10 code to existing Apps it worked fine. However, any downloads after the changes have been made have failed to work.
It may have something to do with Facebook not liking it or a facebook news feed security issue.
So I believe it's best to stick with the RSS feed for the time being as I know it works properly on all the devices, all of the time.
I believe it's a great idea and has been proven to work with blogs etc and I appreciate you sharing it with us, @MrApp.
That is very strange, I will keep my eyes on this. I have the atom10 running on 8 apps with no issues. Random.com :-)
I tried using your code for the Business page and changed the 15 digit number to the number of my group page, but it didn't work.
Any ideas, or is this just one of App.Cat's limitations? It would be cool if I could have my group posts appear in App.Cat, even if that meant changing the News button so that, when clicked, it would take you to the Facebook page specified for Contact.
Thanks,
Joe
If you want I can have a look, if you send me the long number I will see what I can do. Post it here or send me a private message :-)
If you really want them, you'll need to COPY & PASTE each post into the manual news feed of your App. This does give you the control/option to specifically pick the posts of most relevance to your objectives and leave the horrible posts behind.
It's NOT an App.Cat issue, it's a Facebook privacy restriction. :-<
Thanks @PilarMay. I appreciate it.
It's AWESOME !!!!
The app for reference is http://www.appcat.com/inspiredflowerdesign . Thanks
All RSS feeds use the first part of the feed as the title of the post. With that said, the first part of the text up to the punctuation mark i.e. , . ; : ' " etc is the title.
It's an RSS Feed thing - not an App.Cat thing.
And by the way fellow App.Catters, happy to be corrected.
Hope it makes sense, Mark.
Cheers, Eric
We have made an app for a charity and they have a Facebook page, but it is called a cause/charity page. Is there a way of getting the Facebook feed on to the app news page, they have followed Erics instructions at the start of this post but seem to not have the options to get the code??
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks
http://graph.facebook.com/PAGENAME then look down the list of details for "id". There is 15 digits. Copy those 15 numbers and add to the orginal instructions.
Cheers,
Eric
Thanks again for your help, I am sure it will work fine..
